[UK-CONTEST] RE Support and Contest Activity

Yes David, I was suprised by the almost total lack of comment about 
support for contests from the new batch of licences, perhaps the top
operators and groups think they are immune to the ravages of time?.
I've been involved with contesting since 1972 as an operator, with Cray 
Valley, HADRABS, The Windmill Group and on my own and I enjoy 
contesting. It does worry
me that it seems that the majority of the new licences just cannot be 
bothered to raise their expectations above a handbag rig on the local 
repeater.

What can we as older more experienced operators do to entice them out on 
contests?...
