[UK-CONTEST] Contests - It's what we all did..

I don't recall ever being introduced to contesting it was just something
that we (recently licensed amateurs) nearly all did - all night Top Band CW
contests were a good introduction to contests before getting involved in
NFD, apparently I could stay awake all night then but I think that the pace
was a bit slower than it is today. I'm not ever sure that before the days of
SSB there were many 'phone contests.
