[UK-CONTEST] IOTA 2008, a wee bit of poor operating (IMHO)

Campbell,
There could be other reasons as well. Whilst i was operating the
multiplier station at MD4K, i was repeatedly called by stations who were
not new mults for me whilst trying to chase a mult myself.
The rules read thus:-
Multi-ops are restricted to a maximum of two transceivers, the second
station to be used to find and call other stations only if the station
is a new multiplier. It must not be used to solicit other contacts, e.g.
by calling "CQ" or "QRZ". Any non-multiplier QSOs made accidentally on
the second station must be logged, but will be scored as zero points.
In this instance one could "accidentally" log the QSO and score it as
zero points or respectfully point out that you are the mult station and
that you cannot work them as they are not a new multiplier to you.
A tricky one here i guess and each group may choose to interpret it
differently. Like Chris WOJ i haven't seen or heard this particular
behaviour before as we are all glad of every mult we can get.
In the heat of battle a lot of things happen, people image they have
worked someone when they haven't, people who should get through pile-ups
don't etc etc.
My suggestion is that you contact the station in question and ask why
you were deliberately shunned - maybe there is a totally logical answer!
