I also have a FT1000MP which I modified years ago. It is very easy to do
and makes a huge difference to occupied bandwidth. If anyone needs help
to do the mod I will gladly help them. Note however the FT1000MP is not
the worst offender.
I agree those who do occupy excessive bandwidth should be told, but how
often does any one tell an offender? Those who continue to offend should
then be penalised may be at first by being placed at the bottom of the
table rather than out right disqualification.
