Ken, the main Rx and sub Rx will take 5 filters each, but you don't need
that many. Keep in mind that they are roofing filters not IF band pass
filters as in FT1KMP etc. DSP controls the selectivity and is variable
down to 50 Hz!! As well as the standard 7 pole 2.7KHz which comes fitted
I have an 8 pole 2.1KHz filter for SSB and an 8 pole 400Hz filter for CW.

If say your Width control is set to 2.2KHz, as you turn the knob to
reduce bandwidth the filters are automatically selected, so when you
reach 2.1KHz that filter comes and again at 400.

You won't notice much difference until you have some very big sigs close
by and then the resultant IMD is reduced amazingly. The net result is
that you can copy weak sigs close in to big sigs, very useful fro
contest work.

Other bits and pieces as Dave G3YYD has just posted. I just have the 2nd
rx and the ATU.

Go for it! 73 Chris G3SJJ
