Hi Chris

Suggestion:
Even when running, turn AFC etc off.  Use Clarifier (IRT) to tune in callers 
who are a bit off channel.  This ensures you stay on your chosen transmit 
frequency and don't find yourself drifting up the band!  AFC / NET don't 
care who you QRM !!
