I understand that a semi-local tried the 'mobile' tower trick however 
according to local rumour he built the trailer in his garden (or maybe 
had it craned over the roof) and there was no way of getting in onto the 
road, apparently the planners didn't look on it very favourably! See:

I listened on Top Band yesterday evening but I only have an 80/40m trap 
dipole. Unsurprisingly results were disappointing, I realized that after 
one QSO with Don who obviously could only just hear me (599??) I wasn't 
going to waste time trying to work anyone else.
What should I do, tune the (coax) feeder, put in some loading coils or
try a vertical?
