I have to say the K3 is the best radio I have ever used. Much much
better than the FT1000MP I used before. As well as being an excellent
performer, it is small and light so excellent for taking places or if
you have a small shack.
If you do go for a K3. You need the 2nd RX. You may or may not need the
auto ATU that depends on what you do with it. You will need extra
roofing filters which ones depends on the modes you work. If you are not
a 10w only man will need the 100 watt PA option. You will of course need
a 13.8V power supply.
Putting it all together is easy as it is a screw driver job. So as long
as you can operate a screw driver and understand the excellent
instructions best way to go. If that is difficult then order it
assembled same thing just costs more.
