Hello UK-contesters

I was disappointed by the 'provisional' tone of Steve's posting from the
HFCC - if this really reflects the committee's feelings, then they are
ignoring the wishes of many UK contesters viz. to see the 21/28 continued
for at least another few years. I got the impression from the Contest Forum
at Horwood House that the majority of the 100 or so contesters present felt
that this contest should continue.

Any contest in which the leading UK entrants make nearly 500 QSOs (i.e.
there were 600-700 stations interested worldwide) is worth retaining.

With e-mailed electronic logfiles and log-checking software it is not a big
deal to run a contest nowadays. I'm happy to volunteer !

On a general note, I think we (the UK contest community) need to be much
more positive and proactive about things - let's promote UK contesting and
UK contests instead of trying to run them down.

David G3YYD - can I politely suggest that your opinions might carry more
weight if you had ever bothered to enter the 21/28 contest ?
