Paul

I do not consider it a JO03 ego trip, but the whole idea of contesting is
to work as many stations as possible and as far away as possible.

I do not win 70cms UKAC very often and the same goes for 23cms, 6m and 4m
again I have to work every last station I can to keep ahead.

Maybe 40 years as an active contester and DX worker has something to do
with it!

I am sorry that you think it unfair (because I live on a hill in Jo03
maybe) but even before I moved up here 10 years ago I was still winning contests
from JO01 and even many many years before that from IO91)

Removing ALL multipliers would make a level playing field for ALL stations.

I think the thing to look at is that even if I am struggling to work a weak
station I will go as far as possible to make sure that the other station
gets JO03 as a multiplier!

The UK activity contest has been incredibly successful, its been a joy
to see comments in the claimed scores showing how determined people have
been to get on air and improve their stations (and scores) from month to
month.

No one has been disadvantaged or made less competitive by the rule
changes, they simply have had *some* of their geographic advantage removed.

The VHFCC have responded well in their attempt to improve the format of
this series of contests - well done.

Bryn you need to consider your tone before dismissing all of the people
who give you points as "also rans" the contest was never intended to be
a JO03 ego trip!
