Bob, G3PJT, posted a note here the other day re the change of number of team members, reduced from 10 to 5 members per team.

This will no doubt be welcome news to teams such as Africa and Asia who previuosly been unable to make a full team and now make them more competetive.

We shall now be interested to learn how team captains are planning to select the teams. I note the rule now refers to teams in the plural, I presume this means say strongly supported Teams like Canada, ROW etc fielding 'A', 'B', & 'C' teams. Would this be on the basis, as per AFS of the top 5 finishers for each region forming team 'A' etc after the event has been run or does each team specifically have to register team members for each of group A, B, C etc prior to the event.

So far as ROW is affected then it is surely necessary to consider some geographical divide.to make some sort of sense and also at least split Canada into east and west.

I shall be interested to hear other thoughts on this new format since our committee do not put forward a 'Green Paper' for comments prior to making these decisions.
