I remember them well Ken :-)

I worked VP8GQ on 160m back in the '60s... using 10W  to a 270 foot wire 
bent five times around my parent's garden :-)

  Now I have 400W and a different location but only 300 metres from the 
'60s one and I can barely make New England !
