Like others, I really can't see what the issue is when a perfectly fit-for-purpose digital watch can be bought today for next to nothing.  If your shack (like mine) is located away from internet connection or you operate /P, just set it from the home PC before setting out.  And if you're in any doubt about that last second, you know when to stop!
