All,

Thinking about it a bit more I'm inclined to think that single band options could have advantages:-

1/ It would help with the 'caring image' for the less experienced and/or antenna challenged, enabling them to focus on optimising antenna(s) for just one band. 

2/ Those needing their 'beauty sleep' could choose one of the higher bands and make it a competitive daylight only effort.

I suspect you need a critical mass of activity to make this feasible though.

Oh, and get rid of the signal 'report' requirement!
