[UK-CONTEST] RSGB DX Contest Update

Hi Chris & Clive

Excellent! Well, nearly excellent, but many thanks for taking account
of all the input from this reflector.

I'd still like to see 24 hours available, with 12 or 18 hours counting,
otherwise there isn't much point including 80m, at least for overseas
participants. This concept used to be a pain to administer, but the new
adjudication engine as used for BERU should be able to police with the
mandated gap between sessions.

I still see very little benefit in setting sections purely by power,
because the main limitation suffered by those in restricted or otherwise
controlled sites is their ability to erect gain antennas.

Finally, 5 days remains too short a time to submit logs for a
substantial proportion of the target audience. I see no justification
for not allowing hardworking participants some time over the following
weekend.

You have mentioned a time-frame in relation to the RSGB Convention.
Historically, the Contest Forum (12.15 Sunday) has far too much to cover
(I'm being kind here!) to allow any real discussion of these
proposals. What about a separate slot, which we should be able to get
at least pencilled into the programme? Alternatively, those keen enough
could run on over lunch . . .

Thanks again for the work you guys have put in - it really is appreciated.
