[VHFcontesting] HORSE = DEAD. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Well, it isn't for lack of trying.  If nothing is accomplished, then that is a very sad statement about the VUAC.  They made some very good steps forward when they came up with the 3 tier rover system, but the implication was that there were not through.  It was implied that they would see what happened and make corrections as needed.  How else do they know what needs corrected if not for discussions like this?

I really hope they revisit this issue.  I don't think its beating a dead horse because there obviously is more that hasn't been addressed.  Until those things are considered, the discussion should continue.  If a person doesn't want to participate, its pretty easy to opt out.

Yeah, it's deja vu all over again, isn't it? Constant arguments about
whether you can use any number other than your year first licensed in
HF Sweepstakes, whether you can leave out the callsign in the exchange
order, blah blah.  Arguments about Rovers etc. here.

The discussions are fine as long as they accomplish something.  I don't
see anything getting accomplished by them.
