Thank you for the update Merle. I haven't talked to Hyristiyan in a while.
I'm very glad to hear that they are still doing the 'KQA' 33cm model. We
worked together for a long time to bring these to market.

As Merle mentioned, there was little incentive for SG to build an IARU
region 2 only device and it took some doing. On air testing was done here
in the States and sent back to Bulgaria for further review and building. It
was a long process but a fun one.

I'm lucky enough to have gotten #002 and #003 after the proto boards
finished up.

As others have already mentioned, The price point can't be touched by the
State-side makers.

SG-Labs is a great company and their products are second to none for the
price... T/R sense, built in seq., EASY 10mhz lock, split rx/tx, FM
repeater splits (if that's your thing) etc etc etc...

If interested, watch this space for a video I will be making soon on how to
turn a plain jane FT-817 into a 33, 23, 13, 6cm transceiver with switchable
band control right from the face of the 817. No additional messing about.
Great for the rover to easily add 4 top bands. With a couple easy
additions, you can turn an 817 into a 160m-6cm all band/all mode radio
(excluding 222.
