I guess if you dont have any contest-experience why should you then
apply to such a contest-minded evenement?

And...
How many young amateurs have at the age of 22 the setup to make such big
results?

the reason (i guess) the WWYCers doing so good;
1* family member who has a nice station.
2* lots of money to get a ass kicking setup
3* live in an area that is pro-contesting, with lots of clubs
4* member of contest club in the neighbourhood.

Money = good results = a ticket for WRTC
pff its very hard to understand that, at least for Y-hams!
But I am agreed that there nevertheless something of level can be for a
WRTC, but i find it a nice oppertunity to give to young hams!

And those 3 teams, you really think they would make that difference?

Like in my situation, during the weeks at school only some few speare
time in the weekends, not that big setup, ...

To all those who think im wrong, just think away your towers with yagis
and so on,... and work on 10/15/20 with wires and verticals ... and of
course barefoot :-)

Thats maybe to bad, but there are other categories also, like national
team, then im sure i would be more then some lottery ticket.
But for all participants its a kind of a lottery...
