[WWYC] Next WWYC-EU meeting?

Hey Freb & all,

very good question set.

I hope there will be some WWYC Meeting next year as this would be as DK9TN
said the only amateur event along with WRTC that changed countries - 4 times
already.

There are issues that needs to be handled - our wwyc.net site at this moment
acts pretty unfunctional, so the income of new members is low. Avarage age
of WWYC membership is over 25 - which means there are many people that are
out in the 30ies, focusing on serious life issues rather then partying and
radio.

Last Meeting, held in Munich was step away from previous formula - Chris and
Ulf were very serious about it and it's only a shame that there werent more
people. It was great chance and enviroment to make new plans and new ideas
and gather some new informations.

As far as I know there is some iniciative in Slovenia made by OF S56A. Other
idea is to make a one year break and see what happens. I would say if
there's a one year break, Munich might be remembered as the last place of
one WWYC Meeting. There is also idea of picking a country and trying to
organize it outside - renting a house/hostel/hotel for 30-50 people with
everyone supporting the event as much as possible. Unfortunatly, everyone
sometimes turns into noone.

I cheer for Slovenian idea - it's very close and easy trip for me after 3
years of over week away travelling :-) Slovenia is also well connected to
the rest of the world and as WRTC competitors seemed to loved Slovenia I'm
sure same would be for WWYCers that didnt have a chance to visit sunny side
of the Alps.

Anyway, I guess without fixing organizing problems within WWYC Club we cant
expect WWYC Meeting to go on much more.

For the one who visited all 4 Meetings I can say that all of them offered
very best moments related to radio hobby.

I know you just finished the WWYC meeting in Munich this month, what's 
the plan for the next WWYC meeting? I'd like to attend, but us stateside 
blokes need a bit more time to prepare...
