Hey, here is how to share to the All, and not just One On One:

I get a funny feeling that the reason the same question keep getting asked
is two fold.

1) Many replys are sent the the sender of the message and not to the
reflector. If You Use The Reply To Author Or Similiar Option In Your Mail
Program, YOU ARE NOT SENDING A REPLY TO THE REFLECTOR FOR THE REST OF US TO
READ. Sure private replys should only go to the sender. It is really
bugging me that posters ask for info, replys go to that poster, and NEITHER
SIDE SHARE THE ANSWER........come on guys and gals, support the reflector.

Use the Submissions address at the bottom of the posters message appended
from the reflector that was used. That mail address will then go to all
that recieve the reflector OR Browse the Archive's.

A trick I use so that content from the original message can be part of the
reply I generate is to trigger a message using the Reply to Author, But I
REPLACE the To: E-Mail Address With The Reflector Address. Copy/Paste works
well also. Trim quotes of previous messages where it makes sense. At least
provide enough so others can track down the full message if needed.

By the way, if your seeing all the address's of others that a message was
sent to, such as with this one, then its time to upgrade your email
program, or reconfigure it not to show those paths. All that clutter makes
your reading email a real chore. Free email programs are out there that do
not have that problem. Those paths should not be part of your message text
content, nor should it be copied in reply messages to others.

2) It is not unusual for the same popular question to get posted that has
been asked and replied to many times earlier. Thats normal, and its great
of those that repost such information for popular topics. However, Users
Should Also Browse The Reflector Archives For Past Questions Too. For
example for the Fox Tango Reflector Archives, go to:
http://www.contesting.com/_yaesu/

Sometimes Years of postings are available for your browsing. You can copy
messages with content that you want real easy and store them in a file on
your end. I do that all the time.
Some reflectors even have methods to have archived messages of interest
sent to you upon request.

Read the messages that you received when you started a reflector sending
you email. Those messages generally tell you where the archive for that
topic is, and other great tips and techniques. I create a new email folder
for each reflector, and put all that I receive and send there.....including
those first auto genereated reflector messages with that great new user
information.

I keep hearing about a FT8100 mods, and even thanks for the info, But No
Info About The Mod Is In The Reflector...same for some of the Kit Lofer
locations. They are refered to, but Not Provided.........UGH!

Hey I know this is common knowledge to many, sorry about the gripe. But the
reason I particapte in these kinds of reflectors is to share with All Of
Us. Please Share this information with others, and we will All reap the
benifits.

Thanks, Many Thanks for those ther provide and support these excellent
reflector sites on such great topics!!
