All very interesting, Bill, because I worked on some plasma projects as a
student aide while an EE student during the 70's also. Plasmas exhibit very
strong effects on RF signals, including attenuation, distortion (due, mainly to
non-linearity) and non-uniform propogation. However, none of the effects ever
demonstrated Amplification....
Haven't we beat this dead horse long enough? The discussion on burbons and
scotch was much more interesting....
