OK,
Now the subject/thread has changed to replying to people directly in the
group during an on going discussion. Example: I know that when I was responding
to the thread on Ameritron there was several people who replied directly to me
but it was the same subject matter as the ongoing thread nd to members that
chose to participate in regards to that subject. The people who replied
directly just did not want to air what they were saying to the entire AMPS
group. If a response directly to a member has the same subject matter as the
thread and that member has chosen to participate/engage on that subject how can
that possibly be classified as a SPAM.
OK, now here is the on-line Webster's dictionary definition of a SPAM
pasted here:
: unsolicited usually commercial e-mail sent to a large number of addresses
It sounds to me like the name of the thread is SPAM but what people have
begun talking about is not SPAM. In my job as an Electronic Technician it can
become embarrasing if a technical word is loosely thrown around out of context
and used for something it doesn't even mean.
Maybe the name of the thread should now be changed to email etiquette.
Also, I have had some time to engage recently in this thread more than normally
because I've had some free time and a break in the routine. I've seen some
great and highly educational items discussed making it worthwhile but also have
seen some vailed phrases that are intentionally designed to upset other
recipients and even carefully worded name calling broadcast over the entire
AMPS group.

  Best Regards,
  Mike Kendall

HMMMM, that even makes it more difficult because I don't have the foggiest
idea where to go to establish preferences. If I went there is it possible
to make those choices. I will go look at contesting dot com and see what I
find. Stand by for news.

Mike,

This is not a Yahoo mail group. It is hosted by Contesting dot Com.
