My comments on the big amplifier and harmonics stem from the fact that you can 
calculate how far down harmonics are likely to be, and a straight pi network 
and class AB1 or AB2 are most unlikely to meet the requirements, both of the 
FCC and Radio Regulations. If it would, why do all the amplifier manufacturers 
use pi-L networks?
One alternative can be a pi network and switched half wave filters, of course. 
Fine for a retrofit, but not if you're building from new.
