If you are talking about RADIATED energy, I agree, no doubt about it.
But our discussion is about CONDUCTED energy.

So are you telling me that if you mounted a double female bulkhead
coax connector to the screen and fed RF energy into it, there would be
nothing getting to the other side? Or that only energy from the center
conductor would go through and the shield side would not?

I find that hard to believe.
