[CQ-Contest] Contest QSLing

Merri and others

It is important to many to receive paper QSLs with postage or routed through
buros. I understand. It is important to me to get an eQSL. Why is it that
those who want paper are lauded as being somehow superior or more important
than those of us who simply want a confirm?

I use eQSL.cc to track my progress on WAS and DXCC. Not official, but
personal. I don't compete in contests to try and out perform the east coast
boys and girls. I compete against myself. I have a modest station and
never enough energy to do the 48 hour contests. The final courtesy to me is
to upload your log using ADIF format to eQSL.cc and POOF, I'm happy because
you will be confirming my QSO when the computer matches our logs. It'll
take you about as much time to upload your whole log as it does to address
about 3 QSL cards. It will take, in round numbers, exactly $0.00 to make me
and the other boys and girls that use eQSL.cc happy.

The final courtesy is a QSL. In the case of many people, an eQSL is just
fine.

My $0.02
