Simple answer.. IF the operation is a remote controlled op.. NOT within the
commonly ascribed to 1000 ft circle type of restriction.. but more distant..
then that should simply be a new class of op.. NOT the same as any other op or
station.. it isn't a home station in a remote location, where work can be
accomplished any time available.. it isn't a "visited only for the contest" so
a FD type op occurs.. it IS.. A REMOTE op.. supported by commercial
communications companies, to allow the remote op. that makes it a very very
very long speaker and key/paddle line. And THAT deserves a new class. Simple
answer.. remote stations stand on their own.. compete with their own.. can be
compared with ?? and the QSL card.. can be used by the rx'er.. as needed.
Simple.

Have a great day,
