CW might be the worst one to compare. Run the numbers with RTTY for example.
It is much easier to run on two radios in RY. I suspect you would find your
10% to be on the low side. Phone contests probably would exceed the 10% also.
Another interesting thought might be that a new contester might start out in
other modes than the 32-35 wpm of cw contest.
