True, but unless a contest organizer mandates that the participants (at least
those trying to "win" the event in their chosen category) must use an online
scoreboard, this will always be the case.
There will always be operators who decline to use this particular resource, for
any of a number of reasons. So there will always be the possibility, and
sometimes probability, that a previously unknown score will come up and bite
you on the... surprise you when least expected.
Comes with the territory. And it's nothing new.

I used to use getscores.org which was hosted by KY1V. It was good when
it worked properly but I found that some scores would not update and
then the end result was different from what was in the website...
I may try CQContest.net sometime but I'm a bit skeptical. Concept
seems nice but without participation it becomes less than useful.
