I agree with Joe for one simple reason: The reason guys are using remotes is
because they don't have a station at home to operate from, at least one that is
contest worthy! I know one of the guys that was part of the WW1X team lives in
a high-rise apartment, with absolutely no chance to get on the air at all
except with perhaps an indoor antenna, low power, and FT-8.
The more people we can get active in contesting, the better we all will be. I'm
sure not all of those 26 operators had 100 foot towers with stacks of yagis
home to work with. They had that chance to be a big gun, and had fun. Isn't
that what it's all about?
