Neither the BPL backgrounder nor the video

  - explain BPL's technical challenges beyond RFI generation

  - explain BPL's business challenges

  - mention any hard facts substantiating the above (e.g. Alliant's 6/28
withdrawal from BPL in Cedar Rapids due to their inability
to mitigate the interference it generated)

  - suggest that the power industry focus on getting its grid to
reliably distribute electricity

  - outline a simple but cogent argument for abandoning BPL that can be
effectively used with a non-technical audience, with guidance for
special cases (e.g. reporters, local politicians, etc.)

The video does a very nice job of demonstrating the impact of
interference, but would be 10X more effective with non-ham audiences if
the impacted communications were those of law enforcement or public
safety rather than a ham net and Radio Nederland.
