Hi Duane,

Yes, that's exactly what I did.

The major problem I find with the Heil headsets is the fact that he uses a 1 conductor shielded cable (coax) for the microphone connection to the 1/8" connector. If he had used a 1/8" STEREO connector and a 2 conductor (twinax) shielded cable, then we would have the microphone audio shielded right from the microphone to the rig. As it is now we still DO NOT have a shield all the way to the microphone! So RF could still get into the audio!
