James and the group, IF the TV is doing this,

Then we should complain to the TV manufacturer, If we don't they will never fix it.

Please do so.

Yes it's a hastle, but if they receive a couple hundered, and we chase them, they will not be able to ignore it and still sell in the U.S.

Thanks
Rich

RE Off-topic. Most of us join a few list which are the most
interest to us due to time required to read the email. I once
belonged to the QRP-list but turned it off when I started getting
2-400 emails a day just not enough time to read them. Since we
only read one or two list and get to know all the members it's
only natural that when we have a question that is somewhat OT,
that we ask for advice from the group we know best. I don't mind
some OT subjects as long as they don't stray too far for too long
from the main list subject (ten-tec). I always learn from
whatever the topic happens to be. The 28.634 Mhz carrier has been
very interesting. It's about an S-3 here in Maryland, 30 miles
west of Baltimore with two bearings of 210 and 330 degrees. I
couldn't believe that it's the color burst oscillator from a TV
but guess what! It is!. I have three sets, two are on the outside
yagi and one is on the internal whip. Turning off the one on the
whip had no effect, turning off the 10" kitchen set on the
outside antenna had no effect, turning off the main 27" JVC in
the family room completely eliminated the carrier. The peak in
signal when turning the four element 10m yagi roughly occurred
then the 10M beam was aligned with the TV yagi. When the 10M beam
is 90 degrees to the TV antenna it's almost not there. We learn
something everyday from this list even if we are not aware of it.
 Carry on.
