[TenTec] Cross band split with Omni VI

I have experimented with my Omni VI, trying to get it to operate cross 
band split. I have not found any combination of bands that it will work 
on for CW transmitting. It seems like the time needed for the VFO to get 
working on another band is just to long for cross band split, except for 
real slow RX/TX turnaround time. Is this a flaw in my Omni VI, or a 
feature of all Omni VI?
