Tnx Ken.

In your example with the transverter, it would be multiplied.
I guess it would make a big difference then.
But I don't do that either.
I just use my rig on the shortwave bands.

What about the older rigs like Omni VI+?
Are they stable enough for PSK31?

Ken I am interested in having good enough stability, but I am not going
to worry about chasing something unnecessary, just for the sake of being
as good as technology permits. Since I have never operated any of these
modes requiring such stability, I am simply not in the picture. Time
for me to catch up, I guess.

In my ham world, contesting, most QSOs last only a few seconds and the
other station rarely hits my exact frequency anyway.
Even the old VFO rigs were good enough for that!

I guess my attitude can be defined as, "I want my rig to be good enough,
but I don't need to be holier than the pope." (hi)
