The Orion's are quite good since they have both a hardware and software 
noise blanker.  Every kind of noise is different, but I have been very 
impressed with the abilities of the two separate systems.  On some noise, 
one works and the other doesn't, on some both work, and on some neither, but 
in general, it works better  than any rig I have used.  The IMD is quite low 
compared to others and often, I forget I have it turned on.  Unlike the 
notch filter, the dual AGC and S-meter react to the noise being removed the 
way you would expect it to.

I don't know why TT can't use the same system to make the notch work 
right...
