Pins 2-3-5-7 are all that are needed.

I use a standard 9 to 25 serial cable on my 6 and have no problems at 
all. When I had a 5 I had to wire it as a null cable.

Without digging out the manual (manuel) it is all covered for the 6 as 
well as the 5.
