Hello Rip,

I've bought and sold equipment on QTH and Ebay with mostly good results from
both. Prices seem to me to be little higher on the latter. Prefer QTH
because hams as a whole are pretty honest group of people. Of course, lot
of the sellers on Ebay are hams too, but sometimes it's not easy to
determine that. Stay away from sellers that claim to know nothing about the
gear they are selling, those that can be identified as an auction houses, or
those that make statements that are obviously false, like claiming to have
tested a vintage receiver by powering it up with the companion transmitter's
high-voltage supply.

Have set a personal purchase limit at $400, rather like gambling, the money
risked has to be within what you are willing to lose.
