I agree with James, the Palstar AT-AUTO makes a great compliment to the

I use a Palstar AT-AUTO with good results.  It will power your amplifier
down, if you have one, if you accidentally tune while operating QRO.  I
purchased it because it was a full-sized variable air capacitor and huge
roller inductor,  operated by DC servo motors, so it is the best of both
worlds -- it tunes and operates more like the TT 238 tuner, than the LDG
or MFJ which are based on relays using much smaller, discrete capacitors
and inductors in various combinations.
