Which Dow 44? They list both "44 Light" and "44 Medium" on their data sheet.

time, revived several Ten Tec PTOs.
My long term fix would be Dow 44 ball bearing grease which is a wide 
temperature range grease.

The factory grease used to be an ordinary petroleum product, and there 
are far better greases on the market now.
