Steve,
I have not been reading every post about the search for the Corsair pot,
but I hope someone mentioned the old trick of paralleling a higher
resistance pot with a resistor to change the taper of one unsuited to
the need. Given that a notch is not something you change very much in
my operating, I think one could learn to live with another taper.

Have you contacted Ten Tec to see if they have any spares and what it
would cost? If they are reluctant to mail one off to UK, maybe someone
on the list close to the coast could receive the pot and then mail it as
a small prority mail item to you. Wrapping a pot in Bubble paper, it
would fit in one of the USA International priority mail envelopes
easily. The fee to ship to UK in small box or International Priority
Mail is $13.95 US.

And have you appealed to this reflector and other ham reflectors if
anyone has a junker Corsair with a good pot they would salvage for you?

Good Luck in your quest,
Stuart Rohre
