As I recall, Ten-Tec changed the color of its balls just about the same time
that the Bhagwan died.
That was the famous mystic guru and spiritial leader who had all of his
followers wear nothing but orange colors.
I'm not joking. See Wiki: "Bhagwan". He died in 1990.
Seems as logical of a reason for the color change as any other.
