I have one, I built it. It consists of a pair of identical E. F. Johnson 63 uH roller inductors coupled in tandum by a timing belt. The variable C is an old Cardwell air variable and is somewhat large physically. It will put a 40M center fed wire on 160M with ease and that is at legal limit power too.

Now to answer your question regarding a tuner that will tune the antenna referenced, it is cost vs. price vs. market demand.

Ten-Tec like other tuners have a hard time tuning 160M. Any information on this subject is very helpful. I wish some one would sell a tuner that will
tune 45 foot to 300 feet of a single wire antenna without doing something
external to the antenna.
