Actually if people would take the time to listen to some of Robs recorded
presentations, they would learn that Rob says what Billy just wrote in every
presentation he makes. The list is just one factor. Rob places ergonomics
higher than the radio's position on that list and ergonomics are subject to
human preferences. They differ from one OM to another.
I have used the Eagle as my main radio for 4 years.
Once you get used to its peculiar ergonomics, it is actually very easy to
use.
It's only a problem if you have other radios and switch back and forth a
lot.

BTW Gary, I made plenty of contest QSOs and worked many countries with my
Heathkit SB-102 despite it not being a 'contest quality'
radio or having ever been rated by Rob Sherwood either. hihi
While Sherwood's data is excellent and one form of a very useful benchmark,
ergonomics also plays into this. For me, and perhaps only me, the K3 does
not meet my ergonomic expectations. On the other hand, the Orion platform
does very well for my needs.
Repeat after me, "There is no one perfect rig for everyone".
