While researching beams for 6-meters, I learned the following...
M2 makes 2 versions of their 7 element beam (you didn't specify how many
elements you wanted; I was looking for a 7 element beam), they are...
6M7: 2" boom w/ 3/8" tubing and 1/4" rod; 100MPH
6M7JHV: 1.5" boom w/ 3/8" tubing; 85 MPH
Wyatt specifically asked me if I had wind/ice issues where I live in
Southern CA. I said NO and he recommended the JHV version. It has a
longer boom and a bit more gain than the 6M7, but NOT recommended for high
wind/ice. I bought the JHV!
They also have the 6M5X. It too uses the 1.5" boom and the 3/8 tubing like
the JHV, but rated for 100MPH. If you want a 5 element on a 2" boom with
the 3/8" and 1/4", all you have to do is ask them. They told me they will
make anything I want, "but it will cost you extra."
They have a 3 element 6 meter beam....but why?!
