None of the NT class (NT, WIN2000, XP) are allowed to access the LPT port
directly and that is required. There is no API in windows for that either.
The only solution is a driver. Driver code can access anything and I mean
anything and that means it could use LPT.

The author of WriteLog has not written a driver for this and therefore you
are out of luck unless you get (BUY) a third party driver. That will work if
you set it up correctly. I think there is a free driver available, saw it
once, don't know how good it is, don't remember the name. Search for it if
interested.

The easiest and cheapest solution is to forget about LPT and get extra com
ports, or wait until WriteLog realizes that a driver for the LPT is really
necessary since soon everyone will be on XP.

Good luck.
