Yes. But an equalizer plate makes a much nicer install; in the end you'll be glad you did it that way. It's not to "equalize" tensions, it's to provide nice easy turnbuckle terminations. It should be

Excellent point Steve. All of my Rohn anchors have five holes so I don't use equalizer plates but I often wondered what these plates were equalizing. Definitely a little space between turnbuckles is

A Big-Grip would go though the eye of the turnbuckle on the tower side regardless if an equalizing plate was used or not. Connecting the turnbuckle to the anchor rod may be an issue, depending on the
