10 years or more ago I remember seeing an article about modifying a pre WARC Alpha linear to work on those bands. The problem was the RFC resonance. He moved it by installing a loosely coupled single shorted turn on the RFC to move the unwanted resonance to the CB band I would think some Teflon spaghetti over a piece of bare buss wire would do the job.
