There are Chinese SHV connectors for sale on eBay that are very inexpensive
($4/ea). I've bought a bunch of them and they're quite nice. They're reverse
polarity type (make plug is in the chassis connector) and rated at 5kV.
Both pugs and chassis connectors are available. They use a standard BNC
mounting hole and would be very easy to swap with an existing obsolete MHV
connector. See
