Be careful what you wish for here because if the FCC were to address these
challenges and mandate rules for minimum Tx performance specs then most
solid-state rigs and amplifiers would be proscribed due to their lousy /
mediocre IMD performance :-(

I'm referring to the reality that their failure to regulate commercial
junk has made it necessary to use higher power to overcome the RFI.

It's probably best to leave the sacrosanct ham bands as a free-for-all
anything goes as long as you keep your spectral muck confined within the
designated ham bands... :-)

I have no desire to see the Ham bands become any more CB-lite than they
aready are ...
