But what about that small group that just wanted to share op time to
maximize their score without exhausting themselves.  They are so far out of
the running for top honors it is laughable.  So, how about changing M/S to
not allow a mult station?  Or create a new M/S category for multiple ops but
only one transmitter on the air at a time and no mult station?

It use to be this way 37 years ago in 1978. UK4WAR have One homemade PA
(only one signal in the same time)
an 4 operator positions. CC do not believe us that it could be realize this
way and move us from MS
to MM. All attempts to explain this configuration was in vain. Answer was it
impossible.
After that CC create the rule with additional mult band which is use till
now.
